WorldHockey Youth Promoter’s Trophy 2008 back to Germany
30 young ambassadors from 20 countries participated in a weeklong event where they made presentations on hockey development within their own National Associations and clubs and also attended youth leadership clinics, workshops and continental days.
The 6 young people that were invited to make their presentations to an international jury were:
Nina Niedermeyer – Germany
Rebecca Daniels – Wales
Amy Young – Ireland
Cara Eichenberger – USA
Carl Allen - Ireland
Chelsea Yogerst – USA

The IHA Announces Shortlist for ESB Irish Hockey Awards 29.04.08
The Irish Hockey Association (IHA) has released the 44 nominees for the Irish Hockey Awards, sponsored by ESB 31st May 2008 at The Ballsbridge Court Hotel,
Dublin
(formerly the Berkeley Court).
Belfast Harlequins own, Carl Allen, has been nominated in the award categry for the Development Coach of the Year award, alongside Karen Long Eacrett (
Limerick
); Trevor Watkins (Monkstown) and Gareth Borland (
Clontarf
) making up four nominess for the evening on the 31st of May 2008 in Dublin.

Fashion Show
The fashion show is
being held in a marquee in the grounds of Harlequins Club on the evening of the
5th June 2008 from 7:30 with a Champagne and Shloer reception. The
evening is being held in association with The Belfast Telegraph and NI Chest
Heart and Stroke.
We have some fantastic
shops involved: Hobbs, Benetton, Murphy&Nye, Harper, Gilly G,
Clarke&Dawe, Ludlow, Way Out, Roxbury McQueen, Eurosport, Dorothy Perkins
just to name a few.
People from all aspects
of the club are involved and we really need your support for this event. Please
bring all your family/friends to what should be a fantastic
evening.

from ladies hockey section. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there –
it’s a massive night and everyone’s support is greatly
appreciated.
